DragonFly MedSpa offers pharmacy compounded and customized chemical peels. With formulations, such as Glycolic, Lactic, Jessner’s, Mandelic, Salicylic and VersaPeel, we have a chemical peel for every skin type and concern. 

There are different types of chemical peels, like Superficial Peels and Medium Depth Peels. Their results typically last three months for a superficial peel and up to one year with a deep peel.

• Superficial Peels: Superficial peels target only the skin’s surface, leading to a quicker recovery time. Sometimes, starting with a superficial peel is recommended to avoid scarring and pigmentation issues.
• Medium Peels: Medium depth peels are the most popular option for patients who’ve struggled with acne growing up and/or adult acne. Acne can leave you with scars and large pores making you a candidate for this treatment. This peel removes skin cells from the epidermis and portions of the dermis (the upper layer of skin). The results from a medium peel can last for up to 6 months.

What’s The Procedure Like?

A chemical peel treatment involves applying a custom formulation of chemicals to the skin using a cotton tipped applicator or gauze. This will cause the top layer of skin to blister and peel off. Most people feel a burning sensation that lasts around 5-10 minutes.

It may take multiple chemical peel treatments to reach your desired results.  However, many see noticeable results after one treatment.  Results will make you want to stare in the mirror – and others will notice your beautiful results, too.

After all chemical peels, you must avoid sun exposure for at least 2 weeks and use a mineral or physical sunblock and hat, when sun exposure is unavoidable (like walking to car, mailbox, etc.).  It is very important to protect your investment and give your skin time to work its magic and heal.  You must resist the temptation to “help the process” by peeling, picking, scrubbing or exfoliating the skin.  Our skincare professionals will walk you through the process in order to yield your most beautiful results.
